Having worked at a start-up business that now uses a Shopify point of sale system, I was able to see first hand the transition from using our own to Shopify's system. It was awesome. From my point of view it seemed very easy and intuitive to implement. The amount of options we have available to us, from automatic receipt/invoice generation to how quick it now is for us to process a sale and collect money are amazing as well.
I would love to be the person who learns Shopify's software inside and out and teaches it to other people. Being the person prepared to answer any possible Shopify question, I want to be that guy. Basically I want to embody the title "Guru".
While I have never owned a business myself, during my Business Administration program in college, I took several Entrepreneurship courses which were by far my favorite. I've had to write many business plans, and at least to some degree I feel a connection to many small business owners.
After having gone though the transition I mentioned above as well as my interest in entrepreneurship, I actually do believe it is an invaluable tool to businesses. Helping people though their own transitions (or their start-ups) with this software sounds very rewarding to me.
